The mission is to promote the development of public assets using P3 delivery methods when in the public interest. will provide a central forum for the exchange of ideas and share research to further educate and develop relationships between the public and private sectors.
The purposes for which the Council has been organized are:
In February of 2012, Florida P3 industry leaders organized a workshop in Fort Lauderdale, FL to collaborate on and share ideas regarding recent developments of P3 issues in Florida. The workshop was a huge success. Many attendees (and other industry professionals who heard about the workshop) had a thirst for more information and were asking for a forum to communicate ideas and build relationships.
As a result, the founding Board members organized the Florida Council for Public Private Partnerships, late 2012.
Board of Directors
The governing body of is the Board of Directors which is comprised of no more than 11 members:
- Four officers
- Up to six Directors – a minimum of three directors shall be public entities
- Immediate prior Chairperson of the Council, after expiration of their term of service
membership is comprised of industry professionals representing every facet of the P3 industry in Florida and nationally. Architect/Engineers, Consultants, Investors, Developers, Public Entities (procurement officials, city/county managers, etc), General Contractors, Property Managers, Financial Services Firms, Operators, and other related firms all gain an advantage in becoming a member of .
monitors State and national initiatives which impact the direction of P3’s in Florida. Regular updates are provided to the membership through emails and the website.
