Lee A. Weintraub – a shareholder with Becker & Poliakoff, is Vice Chair of the firm’s Construction Law and Litigation departments, and chair of its Public Private Partnerships practice team. He is also a professor of construction law at Nova Southeastern University College of Law, where he serves on the adjunct faculty. Mr. Weintraub is a founder and past chair of the Florida Council for Public/Private Partnerships. He was also the lead drafter of Florida’s public/private partnership statute. He and his firm frequently consult with both public and private sectors on a wide range of matters involving public/private partnerships. He was lead counsel for the Louisiana State University Foundation, the owner of one of the largest development projects in LSU’s history and has been lead attorney on other public sector P3 projects, as well as attorney for private sector teams pursuing such projects. He has successfully prosecuted and defended multi-million dollar defect and delay claims in litigation and arbitration in federal and state courts and arbitrations on behalf of developers, owners, contractors, subcontractors, engineers and performance bond sureties. Mr. Weintraub was selected by Florida Super Lawyers every year from 2007-16 and has been recognized by Chambers USA – America’s Leading Business Lawyers every year since 2003. He was also included in The Best Lawyers in America every year from 2006-16.
